  • Assisted a new Chief Learning Officer to hit the ground running by providing her with intelligence and insights about the organization she had inherited. Worked with the CLO to take immediate actions as well as to lay out a longer term plan for implementing the talent and learning strategy.
  • Identified opportunities, risks and recommended approaches for successful merger integration based on comprehensive culture audit of two merging consumer banks. The challenges were enhanced by regional and national cultures as well as strong corporate cultures.
  • Prepared high potential senior managers and partners in a national professional services firm to take on challenging client service and leadership roles. The focus of the developmental program was on personal presence, networking, organization savvy and enhancing Emotional Intelligence.
  • Positioned a new CEO for success as he prepared to move into his role at the helm of a prominent medical center and research facility. Coaching topics included how to gather the most useful information, how to interact with a new board of directors both as a group and individually, managing his predecessor’s departure, defining personal brand, navigating in uncharted waters of the local political environment. The longer-term objective was to support the CEO in developing and implementing a new strategic plan.
  • Enabled a new CFO in a financial services organization to hit the ground running by helping him to understand the strengths of his employees, the dynamics of his team (including generational issues) and the leadership opportunities in his organization.
  • Enhanced employee commitment to a new strategic agenda by creatively engaging a large number of people in a process that provided input to the CEO and executive team in as they refined the strategy for a national professional services firm
  • Targeted communication and designed a process that built consensus throughout a professional services firm as part of its major re-branding effort. This engagement involved a comprehensive process of interviews, workshops, facilitation and coaching,
  • Eased resistance to a new organization structure among senior managers working for the UN across Asia. Collaborated with consultants from Toronto and The Hague to engage senior participants in a six-moth program of dialogue, workshops and individual coaching.
  • Assisted the board of a large hospital to reach a consensus on lobbying priorities. This entailed a series of interviews, the design and facilitation of a board retreat in which the CEO was positioned as the meeting leader. At the same time we helped to improve the relationship of the CEO with the board through coaching, feedback and behind the scenes consultation.
  • Improved the confidence and capability of senior professional services partners who were trying to improve their boardroom presence. 
  • Improved the impact of internal communications in a multinational law firm by providing feedback to senior partners about associate reactions and offering suggested communication approaches.
