Mitchell Shack, Ph.D.

Mitchell Shack elevates the performance of leaders, teams and organizations by addressing the rational and emotional elements of leadership and organization dynamics. Mitch is a behavioral scientist and an experienced businessperson. He serves as thought partner, educator, and facilitator, as he helps his clients gain insight, align for action and make the right moves at pivotal moments.

Mitch has worked with people across the globe in North America, Asia and Europe. His clients range from very large multinational organizations to hospitals and smaller firms that are challenged by imminent growth. He coaches executives who are trying to get their arms around complex issues or who want to be ready for their next career challenge. He creates laboratory experiences for small and large groups so that people can share ideas productively, experiment with new ways of approaching challenges and align for action. Mitch strives to provoke thinking and provide useful insights. He often relies on a robust suite of assessment methods and instruments to accelerate and validate thinking.

Mitch’s career has taken him from teaching in an MBA program to leading a large change management practice in a global professional services firm and then to working directly with clients through Centauric – the world class consultancy he co-founded with his partner Dr. Tina Beranbaum.

Mitch holds a doctorate in organizational psychology and post-graduate certification in organizational development, group dynamics and individual coaching.  When he isn’t working with his clients, Mitch enjoys spending time with his wife and family, walking on the beach near his office, riding his bike with friends, and trying to appreciate every moment.
