Employer Brand in a Tight Labor Market
A technology company in the San Francisco Bay area was having difficulty recruiting talent. They believed they were not getting their share of quality candidates in a tight labor market, which limited their ability to deliver a quality product for their clients.
Centauric created a program that involved employees interviewing their friends working in other organizations about the things they valued and what would entice them to make the move to this organization. Results were posted on the walls of the cafeteria for a week and then management was brought in to review findings, generate insights and brainstorm possible approaches to getting more talented people into the hiring process. Centauric assisted management and a number of ad hoc working groups to test potential solutions and build a coherent talent brand promise.
The resulting employment brand yielded a refined recruiting approach that resonated with potential employees in a way that brought more high-quality people into the organization. The experience also elevated engagement of existing employees.
